Fish Oil Pills

As a student-athlete who takes many supplements, I like taking other supporting supplements so I dont hurt my body in any way. some supporting pills you cant take are fish oil pills, milk thistle (which helps with liver support), Glucosamine Sulfate (which helps with joint health), and Flaxseed (which is good for your heart). I will be talking about Fish oil pills because i have been taking them for a while.

What are fish oils?

Fish oil is the oil that comes from tissues of oily fish. This oil naturally contains the Omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Eating fish can be very beneficial to one's diet, however, it can often be high in mercury. A good thing with Omega-3 is that it can reduce cholesterol, reduce imflammation, as well as have positive effect on body composition. Another reason people take fish oil pills is for their hearts. It is good in Secondary cardiovascular disease prevention. Lastly on my fish oil pill bottle it says on the bottom that it may reduce coronary heart disease risk. This is a great product to take especially with a person who has a healthy diet. It has many aspects that may keep you living a healthy life.

  1. I take... or try to remember to take fish oil pills as well along with that i have a multivitamin and a potassium supplement since my multi doesnt have potassium in it. its a good idea especially for someone working out regularly to make sure that you get the right amount of nutrients if you dont get it all from your food.

  2. I used to take fish oils..it was called Krill Oil. It was recommended by a personal trainer that I know and he said it was one of the best omega-3 fish oils to take. Good to see that other people are also taking supplements like these to make there bodies healthier.
